Wordless Wednesday 7.13.11

I am linked to 5minutesformom for Wordless Wednesday. If you are stopping by via link up...Welcome to my blog!  Please take a look around, leave some comment love, and I will kindly return the favor!

The kids enjoying their FREE Chick-fil-A Meal for Cow Appreciation Day!  If you're not familiar... you dress up like a cow, you get a free meal!  And can I tell you what a feat this was to get everyone dressed up, transported, seated {on my own...dad was at work} while trying desperately NOT to get sick from morning sickness.  We survived and the children kindly waited until after we sat down to strip  off their ears and spots.
Minh created his own costume and was very VERY proud of himself!

Bubba Gump Date Night!

My husband and I went out for a date night last week.  Aaaah, how nice it was to sit and not worry about do they have enough high chairs?  Will they put us in a family friendly section?  Is there a changing station in the bathroom?  Will our server be "kid kool?"  Will the kids last?  We went to The Bubba Gump Restaurant and had such a great time!  So much fun!  I highly recommend it if you have you have one close.  It was fun looking around at all the Forrest Gump memorabilia and our server did her best to stump me on questions from the movie but I got everyone!  hmmmm  Maybe I shouldn't brag about that...do I qualify as a Forrest Gump Movie nerd, now?  ha!  We then spent an hour or so walking the local Boardwalk.  My oh my how things have changed.  It is now completely updated and so beautiful!!!

Parents night out!
If you don't need anything, leave the sign flipped to "Run Forrest Run"
And when you do, flip to "Stop Forrest Stop."  Oh how I loved!  I am  all about efficiency!
 Quick picture!  :)

Sunday Supper Meal Plan {7.10.11} - Morning Sickness Menu

Well, "morning" sickness is in hyper drive right now...somedays it lasts until midnight and I don't even start to eat until 10/11pm.  And no, that is not an exaggeration.  I've already lost SIX pounds!  ugh.  Therefore, my meals do not contain any meat since the smell alone sends me running to the bathroom and they all are soups-the least painful food to come back up (eek!  TMI!  Sorry!!!).  So this will be short and sweet...

Breakfasts:  Cold cereal.
Lunches:  Turkey and cheese, leftovers and fruit
I also found this recipe.  I think it's a little too much for the time being, but sounds easy and yummy!  Yogurt in a crockpot!

Monday:  Pasta Bean Soup served with Jasmine Rice, bread, and fruit.
Tuesday:  End of Summer Harvest Soup served with Jasmine Rice, bread and fruit
Wednesday:  Creamy Cheese Vegetable Soup served with Jasmine Rice and bread.
Thursday:  Meals on the go
Friday:  Meals on the go
Saturday:  Meals on the go
Sunday:  Grilled Cheese with fruit.

4th of July!

Our 4th of July started out with an AWESOME birthday gift for our oldest.  He had his 1st ever birthday party in May, so this was icing on the cake for him!  July 4th is the coolest birthday to ever have, don't you agree!?  I will write a post later this week about his surprise, but let's just say, the sky was the limit!  :o)

After a morning of fun with our children, my parents and grandmother (and waves of morning sickness), we returned home for lunch and a few hours to recuperate and let the baby (and me!) take a nap.  Later that afternoon, we headed to our lifelong family friend's backyard BBQ.  I was really excited to see everyone and the kids had a marvelous time in the pool!  It's so wonderful to have 3 true swimmers...I was able to hold actual conversations!  Another family friend of ours actually had a 4th of July birthday, too, so my mom brought a cake and we celebrated together with our oldest.  After the BBQ we decided to head to watch the local fireworks.  Because of budget cuts, the 2 that we usually watch didn't happen, so I had a creative idea to beat the crowds at the BIG one...park across the street at Walgreens and watch from the front!  It turned out perfect, even though the entire neighborhood was mobbed.  All 4 kids loved it and there were no meltdowns when the noise started!  After the show, we were the very first car out and made it home in 5 minutes!
Thao was NO fear of the slide or diving board!
 Woohoo!
And our daughter got in the action!

With 2 of my babies :)
 Friends having fun!
She kept jumping off the diving board!  So proud!!
So did Thao!  He is a speedy guy.
 Back jump!
Happy birthday to Minh and Patti!!!

Just got set up for the fireworks!  We literally parked, walked over and sat down.  Easy Peasy!
 Beautiful!  God bless America!!
 A little loud at first.

Minh's 3rd Triathlon {pictures and video}!

Father's Day was a very busy morning for us!  Not only did my husband find out he was going to be a daddy of five, but our oldest competed in his 3rd Triathlon!  My in-laws watched our 3 and 4 year olds and I wore our 1 year old in the Ergo as I ran after Minh as he raced (this is no stand still spectator sport!).  I was up super early setting up his bike, helmet, and gear at the transition area {aka place where the athletes park their bikes and race in to get them in between running and swimming}.  Minh was extremely nervous, but as soon as his wave (7&8 year olds) took off, he went into hyper drive!  He ran, biked, and swam his heart out!!!  He did GREAT in the transition area (kids are not allowed any help...they must get their helmets on, get their bikes, race, then bring them back and park in the same spot, take off helmets and shoes and head to the pool) and we are so proud of him!!!  He placed  15/23 in the male 7 & 8 year old group, and 30th/74  in the male & female 7 & 8 year old group.  He had an AWESOME time of 22 minutes, 51 seconds!  We were so proud of him and I know dad left feeling like the king of the world-a new baby coming and a triathlete son :o)  Every race he participates are such a marvelous events filled with motivated parents dedicated to keeping their children healthy...it really is an amazing experience full of healthy competition!  Check out the pictures and video below!

Got his number and timing band on.
